Faux Animal Skin Rugs

Vintage Dutch Blanket Polar Bear Carpets

PETA supporter? While some animal rights advocates would get a kick out of this faux bear-skin rug, others would be deeply appalled at what it represents.

Personally, I find it amusing, although I’d never spread it out on my living room floor. The artists did a great job capturing little details, down to the frighteningly ferocious teeth and pink tongue. They added cute little details to chic it up, such as a golden nose and floral embroidery up the neck of its white and seafoam green neck. The designer, Lise Lefebvre actually makes them out of vintage Dutch blankets, making them eco-friendly too.
