They opened 8 groups on Facebook, for the 8 blood groups, and created the largest online pool of emergency blood donors that could be contacted by one click. Natal is the Israeli Trauma center for victims of terror and war. Many times, finding the right blood donor on time is the difference between life and death.

Thousands of people quickly joined as national media covered the story. The Israeli Red Cross joined hands by sending requests for urgent blood donations and Facebook blood groups helped save the life of a 15 year-old girl in critical condition by locating a suitable donor in a matter of hours.
