Cold Meat Collages

Fabien Strain Comically Employs Sausages as His Subjects' Weapons

Because of its suggestive shape, sausages can be used for comical purposes, as shown the art work by Belgium artist Fabien Strain. These collages are witty and hilarious as well as entertaining.

Strain collected photos from cinema magazines from the 70s and food leaflets and inserted the cold meat in unexpected and provocative places. The result is amazing as the vintage subjects hold the sausage in a variety of bizarre and laughable positions. For instance, Clint Eastwood dressed up as cowboy appears holding his wiener as a gun. This weapon would have sure kept any western villain tamed.

The politically incorrect collages by Fabien Strain were framed in golden frames and presented at the Big Radical Country Mix at Palais de Tokyo, Paris 2010.
