'Exiled to Nowhere' Captures the Plight of Burmese Rohingya Muslims

'Exiled to Nowhere' is the name of a book and photo series, captured by Bangkok-based American photographer Greg Constantine, that captures the plight of ethnic Rohingya Muslims in Burma. Over the past few years, this community has endured constant violence at the hands of western Burma's Rakhine Buddhists and the Burmese governments itself. The situation forced thousands of Rohingya Muslims to flee the country on boats bound for Thailand, Malaysia and elsewhere.

Exiled to Nowhere documents the sorry state of affairs for Rohingya Muslims. It depicts scenes of under-equipped healthcare facilities, overcrowded schools and shunned displacement camps that the Rohingya Muslims have had to make do with.

Constantine's photos provide an effective visual documentation of the situation in Burma over a period of close to a decade.
