The Excelsior Watch is Inspired by Sulu's Ship

Star Trek superfans will instantly recognize the source of inspiration behind the Excelsior watch. This watch was designed by Peter Fletcher and submitted to Tokyoflash, the Japanese watch company known for its creative and occasionally crazy creations. Fletcher's watch takes the shape of a ship from the Star Trek universe; the Excelsior is the name of an actual ship from said universe.

Although it's inspired by a futuristic spaceship, the Excelsior watch isn't all that hard to read. Two dials, one displaying the hour and the other the minutes rotate along its face. LED lights colorfully illuminate part of the strap and the face. Tokyoflash is known for taking designer submissions from concept to reality, so perhaps there is hope that Fletcher's Excelsior watch could be put into production.
