Certas Energy has announced the Evolo Rapid Charge station is under construction at its Gulf service station in Ebbw Vale as a way to support electric vehicle (EV) drivers with a fast, reliable way to power up. The station in the Welsh town will be located near the A4046 roadway and within two miles of the Brecon Beacons national park to provide drivers with the perfect spot to charge. The station comes at an important time for the UK with new electric vehicle registrations making up a growing percentage and thus increasing the need for a greater number of charging stations.
Head of E-Mobility at Certas Energy Gerry Walsh spoke on the Evolo Rapid Charge station saying, "We know first-hand how frustrating charging at service stations can be and were resolute that our EV offer needed to be simple to use with easy, straightforward payment options. We spent time researching and listening to EV drivers and businesses to find out what they want and need when it comes to charging their vehicles – and we believe Evolo is a first-class product designed to meet those needs. Evolo is, quite simply, charging made easy."
