Record-Breaking Robotic Dances

Hardware Company 'Ever Win' Made 1,007 Robots Dance Simulateously

Beer drinking and zany antics go hand-in-hand, so the new Guinness World Record set by Chinese hardware company Ever Win at the Qingdao Beer Festival in Shangdong, China, is perhaps less wacky than it seems. The company has recently set a world record for most robots dancing simultaneously.

During the robotic choreography, 1,007 miniature robots did an routine that looks something like a cross between early breakdancing and TV aerobics. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem as though the choreography included "the robot." The previous record stood at 540 robots and was organized for a Chinese television special.

Ever Win's dancing robots are called QRC-2s and they stand at 43.8 centimeters tall. Amazingly, the entire routine was synced to a single smartphone, which is how the robots were able to dance in unison.
