Cleverly Draped Architecture

DUS Architects' EU Building Boasts Covered Built-In Outdoor Seating

The EU Building may be a temporary structure constructed for the Dutch EU Presidency 2016, but it's one that will be mourned one taken down. A stunning structure that looks as though it was draped with a pristine white cloth, the EU Building boasts built-in seating along its exterior for people looking to take a break and smell the roses in comfort.

Designed by DUS Architects, the EU Building covers the sitters generously to shade them from the hot sun or to shield them from precipitation. Since it is made out of bio-plastic, it will be fully recycled once done with. The aesthetic of the stunning architectural creation was inspired by the sails of historical sailing ship built in this area.
