The Rinspeed Etos is Changing Our Perception of Car Design

The high-tech car of the future is here, and it's called the Rinspeed Etos. This car, set to be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2016, stays true to Rinspeed's reputation by being both thought-provoking and fascinating whilst at the same time being peculiar and having a bit of that wow factor.

Like previous offerings, this particular car is equipped with a fully adaptable autonomous interior with a moving steering wheel. Therefore the steering wheel doesn't merely move out of the driver-passenger's way when not in use, it actually folds up and retracts completely into the dashboard.

In its so-called autonomous mode, the curved widescreens on the driver and passenger side close together to create the central module of the connected entertainment system.

These designs may seem peculiar at first glance, but may well become commonplace in the decades to come.
