EQUUS Collection Comprises Various Components for Customized Furniture

The designer who wishes his client to act as a designer actually has his work cut out for him. The Groobe EQUUS Collection was dreamed up as a customizable furniture concept that would allow the user to mix and match a range of components to build his own perfect pieces.

To facilitate this exercise, Armands Grube worked in a single material, a lovely ash with a subtle wood grain texture. Different table legs, planked surfaces, perforated hanger rails and rectangular cabinets were created with special Latvian dovetail splices sawed in, enabling the easy joining of various pieces without any need for hardware or adhesives. Once constructed, some of the EQUUS Collection creations can be disassembled and can also change function when placed in different orientations.
