Cow-Created Caves (UPDATE)

Ensamble Studio's La Trufa is Finally Ready for Guests

Ensamble Studio has created what may be the most bizarre living space ever. A little over a year ago, Ensamble Studio dug a pit and filled it with bales of hay and concrete. A young cow was left to feed on the hay for an entire year, creating the inside of the cave in the process.

Well La Trufa (the truffle) is finally ready for human occupancy after a year of eating and shaping. The cave has been fully equipped with modern amenities such as a sofa and bathroom. The cave itself has been moved, and now sits next to the seaside. The view from Ensamble Studio's La Trufa is stunning, and almost makes you forget that you are spending the night in what used to be a cow's lunchbox.
