Energous WattUp is an existing piece of technology that showed some promising new capabilities at CES 2015. The company displayed how how it is capable of charging multiple devices from up to 15 feet away. An exciting development to say the least, people will love Energous WattUp for the simple fact that they smartphones, tablets and more will not have to be chained to an outlet when charging.
Coming in the form of an unobtrusive black box, the Energous WattUp is packaged as a single transmitter to fulfill its job. The Verge writes, "Energous' vision is that your phone, wearables, and other devices will slowly charge throughout the day, preventing you from ever having to actually plug it in or worry about power level."
