'Sanctuaria' Helps to Save Endangered Rainforest Plants

There are as many endangered rainforest plants as there are animals, or at least that is how people should think about it, and so it is only natural that someone would come up with a way to save them. Granted, this particular solution is more artistic than practical. Dubbed Sanctuaria, it involves simple pieces of furniture that boast clear glass capsules that are meant to store segments of these endangered rainforest plants.

Designed by Morgan Ruben Jansen op de Haar, a recent graduate from the Utrecht School of the Arts in Product Design, Sanctuaria was his final project. From orchids to ferns and mosses, the endangered rainforest plants find their last bit of refuge within these capsules. They are grown on durable synthetic materials.
