The Emporio Armani Spring/Summer 2012 Ads are Double-Take-Worthy

The Emporio Armani Spring/Summer 2012 advertisements showcase models Kendra Spears, Tao Okamoto, Xiao Wang and Irina Kulikova in various intertwined positions. The almost sisterly interchanges are reminiscent of Siamese portraits as the women come to reflect one another.

The black and white finish, selected by photographer Alasdair McLellan, furthered this Siamese production. By toning down the differences between the supermodels via the black and white imagery, McLellan played up on their likeness. Although the models are of different races and behold distinctive features, they nonetheless come to resemble each other here. Formal double-breasted jackets contrasted with overdone flowers and seductive see-through pieces made the double-take-worthy production all the more playful, showcasing the fun-loving side of Emporio Armani.
