Many thanks to the lovely ladies at Daily Candy for drawing my attention to Emily Elizabeth Jewelry. Emily describes her line as modern, classic and feminine; however, I’ll amend that description to also include affordable, cheeky, elegant and highly covetable.
After graduating from Hunter College, Emily began working for a fine jewelry designer and came to appreciate that not everyone could enjoy such luxuries. Emily has certainly succeeded in making the aspirational affordable.
While many of her pieces, like the Saltine Cracker Necklace, are truly one-of-a-kind, customers personalize their selections by choosing from among several available finishes. Emily works primarily with brass charms, chains and wires which are then gold-plated. Many of her pieces are dipped twice to ensure a luxurious polish as well as prevent tarnishing.
