Textile Mash-up Artwork

The Sarah Greaves Embroidered Graffiti is Astonishing

Sarah Greaves uses construction as her muse for her embroidered graffiti artwork. The Manchester, London artist uses power tools and thread to stitch designs into materials like a wooden door, a banana, or a sink. Her textile mash-ups decorate unusual items with pretty coiled thread that spell out punny cursive phrases.

Nothing is out of bounds for the embroidered graffiti artwork, as long as there is a tool strong enough to puncture the surface of the materials. Greaves even went as far as to sew a little red threaded X onto a square of milk chocolate, which no doubt made for an odd food consumption experience.

It is truly unbelievable how Greaves' is able to plow through the the tough exteriors of metal or wood and delicately sew impressive messages.
