Speedy Electric Powered Racers

Nissan's ZEOC RC is the World's Fastest Electric Race Car

The Nissan ZEOD RC is an electric race car that is capable of reaching speeds of up to 300 km/h purely using electric technology. Nissan was invited by the Automobile Club de l'Ouest to enter in the 2014 Le Mans 24 Hours race in France. The ZEOD RC (Zero Emission On Demand Racing Car) is an entry that showcases innovative electric-powered racing technologies.

The car runs on the same battery that the Nissan Leaf does, and is capable of letting the driver switch between "electric and petrol-powered drives." Nissan is the current global leader in electric sales cars, and this takes the Leaf's technology to the next level. Though, you will have to wait until next year to see how the ZEOD RC will fare in the gruelling 24 hour long race. Photo Credits: designboom, auto-racing.speedtv
