The Electric Murphy Bed Ascends to the Ceiling When Not in Use

It's nice to have a big bed to sleep on, but big beds take up bedroom space that could be used for other things; this is where the Murphy Electric Bed comes in. This bed, manufactured by German company LiftBed and designer Karl Heinz Welser, can be easily stowed away when not in use.

The Murphy Electric Bed is a king-size bed that can be hidden flush in the ceiling. The bed is equipped with a motor that is controlled by a push-button remote control with a two-finger locking mechanism for increased safety.

Unlike conventional Murphy beds that fold out from the wall but still take up space when not in use, the Electric Murphy Bed literally takes up no floor space as it ascends to stow snugly into the ceiling when not in use.
