Aerodynamic Micro Cars

VW CitiZen Hybrid

The first thing that struck me about the design of this eco-micro car was its aerodynamic appeal. Seems that other electric car designers have forgotten that pushing air consumes energy--whether it's fossil or electric. So the less air pushed, the longer the onboard energy will last.

This is the VW Citizen. The tiny wheels are concealed behind aerodynamic body forms and the whole car reminds me of a teardrop or airfoil--both very efficient designs.

Implications - REPETITION.

This eco-micro car was designed with the urban gridlock in mind. This hybrid car has batteries in addition to hydrogen fuel cells. This is a marvelous concept that will surely shape urban commuting.
