World's Tallest Sand Castle

The Ed Jarrett Sand Castle is an Artistic Masterpiece Fit for a King

When I was younger, I used to dream of building a sandcastle as high as the sky, but my mom would tell me it was impossible. Apparently Ed Jarrett's mom had a different answer, because the Ed Jarrett sand castle is officially the tallest sand structure in the world.

This is not the first astronomically sized sand castle from Jarrett, but his first two recrod-breaking castles constructed in 2003 and 2007 have been triumphed once again by this third masterpiece which is a 37-foot, 10-inch sand marvel. The caslte, appropriately entitled "Jarrett's Castle" took the help of 1,500 voluntunteers and 2500 hours of labor to turn a whopping 1.6 million pounds of sand into this architectural wonder! In the last 15 days of construction, Jarrett actually lived in the castle, working away at the masterpiece for about 15 hours a day.

According to Oddity Central, work on the castle began on April 1st, and the completed structure was ready for official measurement seven weeks later on May 20. The castle is located at Winding Trails in Farmington, Connecticut. As with his first two castles, the project will again raise money for charity with Save Walton Pond at Winding Trails and Special Olympics Connecticut as its marquee beneficiaries.
What an inspirational awe-inspiring story of artful dedication!
