This Eco-Friendly Advertising Creates Clean Drinking Water from Humidity

This example of eco-friendly advertising uses a billboard to turn air humidity into purified drinking water. The billboard was created by students at the University of Engineering and Technology in Lima, Peru, in collaboration with Mayo Draft DCB. The astounding result is a world first.

The university has used the billboard to advertise its admissions campaign. The current location of the board is in Peru where rainfall is very scarce. As a result of the project, locals in the area now have 96 litres of clean drinking water. The purified water is stored in tanks at the bottom of the sign. People can simply bring a vessel and fill it up with clean drinking water.

This is an example of how advertisers could provide relief to under-privileged areas and spread social good alongside their brand.
