The BMW i Brings a New Breed of Electric Cars

It's official. BMW is going green after unveiling two new concept cars that will be a part of the company's i series. The first is the electric BMW i3 and the second is the plug-in hybrid BMW i8. Both will be built out of carbon fibre-reinforced plastic "to cancel out practically all of the extra weight added by the batteries," according to BMW.

Not only is the BMW i series light, designed for practical driving and eco-friendly, it may also just change the game in electric cars.
