The Echo Smartpen from Livescribe is a pen that allows users to literally record the notes they take via an audio mic and a small camera in the nib of the pen that records keystrokes. Using a special Livescribe notebook, users tap a "record" button on the paper which starts the process.
The Echo Smartpen then records all notes taken and syncs up the audio heard during the class or presentation to when the notes were taken. The audio can be heard just by tapping a word on the paper.
