Efficient Earthquake Housing

Luna Perschl Comes up with a Design for Disaster-Struck Areas

Luna Perschl has come up with a new concept for earthquake housing, and one that's easily assembled. Her design would be used in areas already hit by the natural disasters, as everything is ideal for those that need a temporary place to live.

Her design is called the 'Pocket House,' and everything is made from wood. While she's marketing the piece as an abode, it could even be used for a shelter of any kind, or a public center for people to come to in times of need. Considering how many earthquakes occur around the world, having something where people can find refuge could help stop the spread of disease after these natural disasters, and avoid excessive amounts of confusion. Hopefully the Pocket House will go from concept to creation shortly. Photo Credits: designboom, linkedin
