Timothy Schreiber's E-lastic Table Looks Like an Acacia Tree

The first thing that came to mind when I laid my eyes on the E-lastic Table was the Lion King movie. This piece of furniture reminded me about those stunning sunset scenes in which long stretches of desert were punctuated with the silhouette of an occasional Acacia tree. This serene and majestic feeling is captured by the E-lastic Table, even if unintentionally.

Created by London-based designer Timothy Schreiber, the E-lastic Table is actually inspired by a more "elastic" concept. Simply and sinuously stretched, the table still has an organic aesthetic, but in a more contemporary frame of mind.

A perfect example of Schreiber's pop modernist tastes, the E-lastic Table is available in various colors. It is set to debut during the Milan Furniture Fair this year.
