Vacuum-Inspired Hairstyling Wands

The Dyson Airwrap Creates Hairstyles Without Extreme Heat

Following the release of its innovative Supersonic hair dryer, Dyson is introducing an all-new hairstyling gadget in the form of the Dyson Airwrap, a tool that can dry, smooth, curl and wave the hair without extreme heat.

Dyson's digital V9 motor—the same one that can be found in its vacuums—powers the design and the styling tool makes the most of what is known as the Coanda effect to attract and wrap hair around the barrel. Thanks to the power of the motor and the incredible rate that it spins at, the Airwrap produces the required amount of pressure for this effect.

The Dyson Airwrap boasts intelligent heat controls and the temperature is kept below a certain range to keep one's hair undamaged from high amounts of heat. The tool is designed to be used with a range of styling attachments, such as barrels of different sizes to create curls, volumizing and smoothing brush heads and a pre-styling dryer attachment.
