Keeping annoying coffee stains away, the 'Drop Rest' mug catches drips before they become a problem.
Designed by Kim Keun Ae, the mugs use a specially angled groove to catch wayward drops. Instead of dripping all the way down to the bottom of the mug, drops are safely held in the groove. As a result, you don't have to be worried about putting your coffee mug down on a piece of paper anymore.
The mug works by leveraging surface tension in order to catch liquid droplets. The groove placed along the bottom portion of the cup naturally catches liquid without protruding outwards. Even when the cup is handled roughly and moved about, liquid trapped in the groove stays put.
