Multiplayer Drone Games

'Game of Drones' Will Allow You to Race and Fight Your Friends' Drones

A new startup called 'Game of Drones' believes that competitive drone games could be the next major outdoor sport. The idea behind the company is to offer drone flying enthusiasts an opportunity to practice their skills and compete with other like-minded individuals.

Currently, Game of Drones sells its own 'Hiro Action Sports drones,' which are designed for racing and engaging in head-to-head battles. To facilitate the games, the company has been setting up drone fighting pits, in which the remote control quadcopters are pitted against one another.

While the sport is still largely a niche activity, company founded Marque Cornblatt has plans for directly broadcasting the drone games all over the world. Cornblatt explains that Game of Drones intends to follow the lead of competitive video gaming, which is already a worldwide streaming phenomenon.
