The 'Flying Drone Blanket' Can Charge Multiple Drones Simultaneously

Italian design company Carlo Ratti Associati has teamed up with venerated drone technology company Flyfire to design the Flying Drone Blanket, an innovation drone charger technology that makes it easier than ever for multiple active drones to be charged and launched simultaneously.

The Flying Drone Blanket, as its name suggests, comprises a blanket-like structure to which up to 16 drones can be connected, with all the quadcopters capable of quickly and easily juicing up their batteries at the same time. Blankets can also be connected to each other, making it possible for thousands of drones to be launched and charged at the same tie.

Given the increasing ubiquity of large drone displays that comprises masses of drones moving at the same time, this blanket-inspired drone charger system could have a range of applications.
