Insectified Rocket Choppers

The Dragonfly DF1 is a Safer and Simpler Way to Fly

The Dragonfly DF1 is a simple, ultralight, non-polluting and cost-effective helicopter. Very different from traditional helicopters, the Dragonfly DF1 uses small rocket motors, instead of fixed motors, located at the tips of the blades.

The helicopter is powered by hydrogen peroxide fuel that can generate a top speed of 185 km/h and powers the chopper to climb 700 m/min up to a ceiling of 4000 metres. The Dragonfly DF1 is very light--it just weighs 106 kgs--and is able to carry up to 227 kgs.
