Ahead of the highly anticipated NFL and NBA Drafts, Toronto artist Drake brings forth his lyrical contribution to motivational draft day songs.
Entitled "Draft Day", the rapper flashes convivial lyrics over Boy-1da and Atlanta's The Fans production. The track features a prominent sample of Lauryn Hill's "Doo Wop (That Ting)", giving an ode to one of R&B's legendary icons.
Throughout the song, Drake shouts out his friend Johnny Manziel, the NFL's next big promising quarterback who will be selected in the upcoming draft. He also gives a warm shoutout to promising NCAA college basketball star who will be selected in the upcoming NBA draft.
"Draft Day" is a motivational ode to the biggest stars that are ready to grace the professional stage like the star himself.
