The Double Down is Returning to KFC with Three New Varieties

After a lengthy hiatus, KFCs infamous Double Down is returning to the chain's menu for a limited time. The catch is that you'll have to be in New Zealand in order to get your hands on it.

Though the Double Down has been absent from American menus for years, the sandwich occasionally pops up again at some of the chain's international outlets. This time around, it is KFC New Zeland bringing back the fried chicken sandwich in the form of three different varieties. There's the Original Double Down, which consists of the Colonel's Special Sauce, bacon, and cheese sandwiched between two Original Recipe fried chicken filets. Next up is the Zinger Chipotle Double Down, which takes Chipotle Mayo, cheese, bacon, and jalapeno slices, and puts it between two Zinger chicken filets. Finally, there is the Bacon Lovers Hash Double Down, which uses two Original Recipe fried chicken filets as buns topped with Baconnaise, a double portion of bacon, cheese, and a hash brown.
