The latest work by Dorothy is a series of traditional green army figurines that have been modeled off the current situation of soldiers in the United States army. Each figurine is based on a soldier in the single battalion based at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs after their return from Iraq.
A newspaper stated that these soldiers have been involved in domestic violence disputes, suicides, beatings, rapes, drunk driving and a slew of other horrible cases due to their post-traumatic war experience. These army figurines by Dorothy are not just play toys.
