Any gamer who grew up in '90s will likely recognize this Doom screenshot from the classic 1993 shooting game.
DeviantArt user Elemental79 has taken the vintage Doom screenshot and increased the detail to a high amount. The original screenshot used only 320 dots by 240 dots to make the image. Elemental79's upscaled image can display at 9,600 X 7,211 resolution. To give you some perspective on how much insane detail that is, regular high definition Blu-ray movies run at display at 1,920 X 1,080 resolution. Each frame of this monumental Photoshop undertaking took ten seconds to draw, and took 35 hours over eight days to complete. The file is so massive that it had to be split up into seven separate Photoshop documents. All that for one heck of a Doom screenshot. Elemental even put together a stop-motion video detailing all the effort that went into this image. For the record, there's absolutely no monitor or consumer computer powerful enough to render this image in real time.
