Architecture and design practice Sergey Makhno Architects created the unique design for the cleverly titled eatery Dogs&Tails bar and café in Kiev Ukraine. The titled of this bar and cafe is delightfully charming as it combines culinary humor with the restaurant's menu. The name Dogs&Tails might conjure thoughts of playful pooches but it actually stands for Hot Dogs and Cocktails.
The design further enhances the name play by adding large images of dolled up canines wearing suits. The bar is housed in a building that was converted from an old cinema into the bar that it is now. The interior features a variety of seating areas from bars to tables and even cafe-like lounging areas with armchairs. The decor uses black-painted iron and wood created a neutral space.
The lighting comes in a variety of ways including windows and tubular neon pendant lamps that are suspended above the bar.
