Airport Dog-Sled Taxi Services

This Norwegian Hotel Introduced an Airport Taxi Service with Dogs

The Kirkenes Snow Hotel has incorporated the world’s first dog-sled taxi service. Norway has come up with the coolest way to get to and from the airport. The taxi service launched this week and it takes passengers from Kirkenes Airport to Kirkenes Snow Hotel. It is about a 45-minute ride through the snowy mountains. The sled is carried by eight Alaskan huskies who were approved by Norway’s defense services, the local government and the wildlife authority in control of reindeer within the area.

The dog-sled taxi service is geared towards a more upscale market with a bit of a hefty price tag. Those who embark on the dog-sled taxi service are provided with a thermal suit to keep them warm through the cold weather. They are also able to get to know the dogs beforehand. That is one taxi service I would love to use.
