Dog Sled Taxi Services

The Kirkenes Snowhotel in Norway Has Introduced a Dog Sled Taxi

Norway is attempting to attract more tourists with a unique dog sled taxi.

The Kirkenes Snowhotel in Northern Norway is responsible for this creative approach to transportation. The hotel hopes to attract animal-loving guests with this unique public transportation guided by eight Alaskan huskies. The 45-minute dog-sled ride is not cheap, costing over $300, but it includes a scenic tour of the area. The hotel is home to 200 sled dogs, which guests can get to know through out their vacation by participating in dog related activities such as lessons in dog sledding.

So who needs a yellow cab, a shuttle bus or a limo when these snow pooches can get you from the Kirkenes Airport to the hotel in an unforgettable way? It may be colder than a bus ride, but it’s also super cool!
