Nick Olson and Lilah Horwitz, a couple who know no limits to the crafty wonders of DIY, put everyone's do-it-yourself innovations to silence when they made an entire living space out of glass. The DIY innovation sprouted when Olson and Horwitz discovered their yearning to be "closer to the elements" while on a walk in the woods in West Virginia (where the home is located). Adding to the present coolness of the creation, these two handy dandies crafted the entire building from recycled glass and using whatever they could find on the property.
Visiting abandoned barns and taking from them what they no longer needed these two completed the roof and walls to their majestic wonderland. Initially this project took months to complete but with hard work, determination and a hunger for their vision, the couple finished their masterpiece one December day and were starstruck at best. Though they use this DIY glass home as more of a crazy creative getaway space than a permanent live in one, the beauty and ingenuity of the structure remains.
