Deceptively Amorous Divorce Ads

These Esteban Gergely Ads Cleverly Promote Its Divorce Services

The law offices of Esteban Gergely created a series of succinct, ten-second videos that quite cleverly advertise its legal divorce services.

The still preview images on the videos and their titles are meant to mislead viewers into thinking that they will be watching a romantic video from a couple that is celebrating a honeymoon or an anniversary. However, upon pressing play, viewers are soon met with a message that reads: "This video has been removed by the user." This message was intentionally used by Esteban Gergely and shortly after, the text changes to read "divorce happens" and it cuts to its logo, phone number and website.

The three videos on Esteban Gergely’s YouTube page all reference popular celebrity couples who have broken up, like Ashton and Demi, Tom and Katie, and Katie and Russell.
