Japan-Based Diver-X Launches a New Kickstarter for VR Haptic Gloves

Diver-X, a Japanese VR startup known for its VR headset blueprint, is launching a pair of VR gloves with an advanced membrane technology capable of flexing and compressing to replicate the sensation of touch. With the ContactGlove, you can play without ever having to pick up a controller as the device records each finger individually, has SteamVR tracking mounts for positional tracking, and supports button input emulation.

A flexible membrane's "pro" function on higher-end versions of the device offers haptic feedback by contracting and expanding to mimic touch on the user's fingertips. Currently, Diver-X has launched a Kickstarter to fund the development of these innovative gloves.

Diver-X's VR gloves also offer mounting adapters for both Vive Trackers and Tundra Trackers, with the company claiming that its VR glove controller is inherently compatible with Steam VR.
