Every country differs in culture and customs and one of those differences is when you see people in different nations counting bills in a variety of methods.
Locals can spot foreigners or tourists by the way they dress, speak and according to this video, counting bills. In North America, there's a tendency to count cash by holding a stack in one hand and using the other to separate. However, in other nations, people count by placing the bills on the table and thoroughly spreading it out.
These counting tactics may not be the most accurate but this video shows a great example of worldly cash counting styles. One might think it's bizarre to see people counting bills in 'odd' ways but like people, everyone is different.
