Diabetic-Tracking Apps

This Philips App Permits Type 1 Diabetes Monitoring on the Go

Philips Healthcare recently launched a new prototype for a Type 1 diabetes-monitoring app, which makes use of aggregated digital data from the HealthSuite platform.

Using this diabetes app, patients are able to carry out a range of tasks, from tracking their blood glucose levels and insulin use to monitoring their physical activity, mood, nutrition and stress levels. In return of these inputs, app users are able to get data-driven feedback, as well as coaching on their particular set of health issues through Philips Personal Health Programs.

While this app is still in development as a prototype, it's expected that Philips will launch the app by the end of the year. Additionally, the company has plans in the works to address other chronic disease management systems for a range of other uses.
