The American Girl Diabetes Care Kit Teaches Young Girls About Illness

Unfortunately along with rising child obesity rates come increased instances of diabetes and a need to teach people about illness at an early age -- which is where this diabetes care kit comes in. Available from American Girl, the set for dolls teaches young girls (or whoever wants to play with such toys) about the disease. The set contains a variety of miniature sized tools to help them care for their 'Truly Me' dolls with diabetes.

The diabetes care kit consists of a blood sugar monitor and lancing device, glucose tablets, an ID card, an insulin pen, an insulin pump, a log book, a medical bracelet, personalizing stickers and a special case to carry everything.

This product is the result of a successful change.org petition started by an 11 year old girl.
