The Slacker

You are the 80-90s Nintendo-generation and are entering adult life. Read at least two newspapers a day, work harder, stress more, eat a full-grain diet, sit ergonomically on your scandinavian designed furniture. No more slacking, no more goofing around, game over!

So what if you won on a lottery? Would you run down and buy this $3000 Slacker low rider lounger with video-game inspired crafted wood carvings and once again regress to the lifestyle of your teenage years.

The design by Fredrik Olsson and Sam Sihvonen, currently attending the School of Design and Crafts at Göteborg University mix the styles of Scandinavian viking woodwork with video-game, rock music and egyptian pharaoh throne aesthetics.

The Slacker was first exhibited at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2008 and will be produced in a very limited edition.
