The Demi Lamp by Mattias Stenberg is Illuminatingly Sculptural

The Demi Lamp may be a light source first and foremost, but it is a sculptural art piece as a close second. Its cylindrical pill-like shape is made out of handblown glass, which combines the traditional art form with modern lighting technology. Although the form is ultimately clean and contemporary, there is a retro vibe about the Demi Lamp that allows it to suit just about any living space and existing decor.

Designed by Mattias Stenberg for Design House Stockholm, the Demi Lamp is created out of the latter's own glassworks ‘Vet Hut’ located in the small village of Boda. The Demi Lamp is finished with an aluminum ring connects the two parts inside and a row of LEDs that direct towards the middle of the lamp.
