A new DeepMind AI system has created an AI system that is able to predict the onset of a Kidney illness 48 hours before it occurs. In order to create this technology, DeepMid AI worked in conjunction with the Department of Veterans Affairs in order to train the AI system. The DeepMind AI system worked at an extremely reliable rate, it was able to correctly identify nine of out of 10 cases.
Deep Mind AI has also created a mobile assistant, titled Streams. The assistant is able to indicate if Kidney related cases are urgent, within a timeline of 15 minutes. This drastically improves a diagnosis, where previously evaluation would take a few hours. Streams can be used in conjunction with the Kidney illness detecting AI system to drastically improve early detection of kidney issues.
