TELUS has launched its 21st annual Days of Giving — a corporate volunteer movement taking place throughout May that mobilizes over 100,000 participants across more than 30 countries to support local community initiatives. This program, which has evolved from a small local effort in the early 2000s, engages TELUS team members, retirees, and partners in hands-on activities ranging from packaging infant essentials at BabyGoRound in Vancouver to assembling food hampers with GlobalMedic in Toronto, gardening at WellSpring in Calgary, preparing meals at Mission Bon Accueil in Montreal, and improving shelter conditions for rescued animals in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Since the year 2000, the company's workforce has contributed the equivalent of nearly 6,800 years of service, amounting to 2.5 million volunteer days and 1.85 billion dollars in combined cash, in-kind contributions, and volunteer time.
