Fuku is Reintroducing the Dark Meat Sando for a Limited Time

Fans of Fuku's original Dark Meat Sando will be thrilled to hear that the sandwich is making an epic comeback for a limited time.

Fuku started as a secret sandwich inside New York's Momofuku Noodle Bar and its signature chicken sandwich was made from dark thigh meat. In 2020, the brand transitioned to a critically acclaimed all-white meat version, but now it's going back to basics (at least temporarily). On Saturday, October 8, 2022, the Dark Meat Sando will make its epic comeback at Fuku’s Hudson Yards and Rockefeller Center outposts. This iconic sandwich features habanero-brined chicken thigh meat fried until golden brown and served with Fuku mayo, and pickles on a soft Turano potato bun. As Fuku's CEO Alex Munoz-Suarez explains, "We know our most loyal fans have missed the Dark Meat Sando, which was hands down the juiciest and crispiest chicken sando out there. We couldn’t be more excited to make their wishes come true and bring back the sando that started it all."
