Heavy Hallucinatory Illustrations

Darin Shuler Blends Chaos and Psychedelia in His Creations

Darin Shuler is an artist from the Pacific Northwest with a propensity for creating colorful and chaotic illustrations that blend abstract art, surrealism, and psychedelia with an ease and comfort that makes his artwork eye-catching and distinct.

Darin Shuler's illustrations are expansive creations, but he still manage to include an element of humor in some. My favorite Darin Shuler illustration features two predator-like birds feeding a werewolf and a dinosaur beer and pizza. True to his style, the illustration is heavy on chaos and is haphazard.

Darin Shuler is a graduate of the Evergreen State College, and spent his first few years after graduating putting art shows on in Seattle and designing posters and design projects for local bands. He currently resides in North Carolina, where he is a part of the Teeth Collective, an three-person art collective, as well as Solid Gold, a two-person illustration team.
