Blunt Bacon Branding

Rachel Brown Updates the Danepak Packaging Design

Rachel Brown went with a blunt packaging design for the bacon brand Danepak. Most bacon branding doesn't remind viewers that the food in front of them did indeed come from a live animal, but Brown doesn't skirt around this fact with the new design.

The front of the package features the outline of a pig with a see-through section underneath. This way, when people look at the branding they can see the raw bacon inside in the shape of this little porker. While this might turn a few people off, reminding them of where their food is coming from, others are sure to have a quick chuckle before snagging it off the shelves and cooking it up for breakfast.
